Zohar Gotesman
Zohar Gotesman (1979, Kfar Neter, Israel; lives and works in Kfar Neter) holds BFA from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem, and studied for a BA in Archeology, at Ben Gurion university, Be'er Sheva. He spent a year studying traditional marble carving in Carrara, Italy.
Gotesman’s work has featured in solo exhibitions, including at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem; the Tel Aviv Museum of Art; and Rosenfeld Gallery, Tel Aviv. His large-scale sculptures participated in group exhibitions, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art Bolzano, Italy; Brno House of Art, Czechia; Museums of Art Bat Yam - Moby; Center for Digital Art, Holon; the Genia Schreiber University Art Gallery, Tel Aviv; Petach Tikvah Museum of Art; KADE Amersfoort, the Netherlands; the LeRoy Neiman Gallery, Colombia University, New York; and Hezi Cohen Gallery, Tel Aviv. His outdoor public sculptures can be found in Jerusalem, Haifa and Modi'in, and he is included in private collectors in Israel and abroad.
He was the recipient of prestigious grants given by Outset Contemporary Art Fund – Israel, and by Nata Dushnitsky-Kaplan Foundation Fund. He won the Young Artist Award given by the Ministry of Culture, Israel and the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Award.
