Matan Ben Tolila
Matan Ben Tolila (b. 1978, Kibbutz Yavne; lives and works in Jerusalem) holds a BFA and an MFA from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Lauren and Mitchell Presser Prize for Excellence in Painting. Ben Tolila is head of the Art Department of the Jerusalem High School for the Arts.
Ben Tolila’s work has featured in solo exhibitions, including at the Tivon Contemporary Art Gallery; Maya Gallery, Tel Aviv; Noga Gallery, Tel Aviv; the State of Israel Pavilion at the Art Fair Beijing; and the Duo Project at Galerie 61, Bielefeld, Germany. He has also taken part in group exhibitions, including at the Artists’ Studios, Jerusalem; the Israel Museum, Jerusalem; Petach Tikva Museum of Art; Noga Gallery, Tel Aviv; Leichtag Foundation, San Diego; and Raw Art Gallery, Tel Aviv.
